Cloud Storage serving can sound interesting but, in the end, and IMO, it's not a production proof solution. You don't have version like you have with App Engine (or revision with Cloud Run) and rollback are more tricky to manage.

In addition, you lack flexibility in term of configuration, TLS options, default error page,...
